A day counter answers one useful question, but a calendar answers several more. Quit Alcohol connects every entry to a date so you can see alcohol-free days, drinking days, gaps, and longer patterns together. The purpose is not to grade a month. It is to make the information you chose to record easier to understand and use.
One date is the basic unit
Open the calendar, choose the day, and record 0 for an alcohol-free day or the number of drinks you want saved for that date. A difficult zero-drink day and an easy one both count as alcohol-free entries; the stamp does not score mood, productivity, or willpower. When drinks are recorded, the date remains part of the same history rather than being hidden behind a perfect-looking total.
Read color as information
The calendar uses color to make differences between entries visible at a glance. Treat those colors as labels generated from your input, not as a medical risk assessment. A cluster may invite a question about timing, plans, or context, but the app cannot tell you why it happened. If a number is uncertain, enter the most honest useful estimate and continue.
Use the month before interpreting it
One square can feel unusually important when it is today. The month view restores proportion. Look for repeated weekdays, unmarked gaps, stretches that matched your plan, and days that did not. Then choose one practical response, such as setting a reminder, preparing an alcohol-free option, or asking someone for support. The calendar provides evidence; you decide what the next step should be.
Understand the milestone layer
Quit Alcohol highlights 3, 7, 21, and 60 alcohol-free days. These are product checkpoints and reflection prompts, not clinical thresholds. They do not guarantee changes in sleep, mood, weight, cravings, or liver health on a particular day. A useful milestone review asks what helped, what was difficult, and what support would make the next stretch more manageable.
Know the privacy and purchase boundaries
Drink entries, calendar history, reminders, and personal settings are stored locally on your device, and no account is required to begin. The app is not completely offline: Firebase Analytics can process app-interaction and device information, while RevenueCat and Google Play handle purchase or entitlement information. It is free to download, with optional weekly and lifetime purchases for continued and advanced use.
Make the calendar serve your goal
People may use the same calendar for an alcohol-free goal or to observe drink counts while cutting back. Decide what each entry means before reviewing it, and avoid changing the rule only to make the display feel better. If the record raises concerns, bring it to a clinician or alcohol-support service. A tracking screen can organize a conversation, but it cannot diagnose or prescribe.
A simple weekly calendar review
- Count the dates you actually marked.
- Notice one repeated time or situation.
- Name one choice that helped.
- Choose one realistic adjustment for next week.
Questions, answered
Does the stamp calendar diagnose risky drinking?
No. It displays the entries you make and can reveal patterns, but it does not assess health risk or diagnose alcohol use disorder.
Are the milestone stamps medical promises?
No. The 3, 7, 21, and 60-day markers are product reflection points, not guaranteed health timelines.
Is Quit Alcohol entirely free or offline?
No. It is free to download with optional purchases, and limited analytics and purchase services can communicate with servers.
